Dear Francesco Balena. I'm software developer.. and so far my works went less or more well. But a months ago i'm going through a program developed with C# and .NET 3.5.. an application that generate a lot of barcodes images and print them inside the same Excel file where the data come from. Unfortunately even if the program looked very well and good developed, on boss machines don't worked (needed .NET 2.0, and others office run-time utility). then i decide to develop this job with the good old 'VB6.0' and the amazing result was that it worked and performed the job very well with at least 96 Kb of exe file... Then I'd like to ask you that: Does .NET exe file failed because isn't fitted with Office 2003 on every aspect or maybe does it need specified utility installation to run with on any systems? Thanks in advanced with me for the time you spend with this Best regards stefanogioli, Florence

Hi Stefano, unfortunately I don't have an answer, because it would require some deep debugging. I can only suggest that you install the Debug version (of the .NET app) on your boss's computer and use a file monitor utility to check which files it looks for, plus an utility like DbgView to see which messages the .NET app outputs. Hopefully you can gather enough cues to understand what's happening. -- Francesco
