After eighteen years of innovation, thousands of hours of development, and hundreds of successful projects, the lifecycle of VB Migration Partner comes to a close.
This is the natural culmination of a journey that has accompanied companies and software houses around the world in migrating their Visual Basic 6 applications to .NET. The results speak for themselves: over 1,500 successfully completed migration projects and more than 600 million lines of code converted.

To everyone who shared this journey with us, our deepest thanks. Customers, partners, and developers all contributed by adopting the product and shaping its evolution: real-world scenarios, complex edge cases, intricate legacy architectures, and production constraints were the context that allowed VB Migration Partner to grow into a robust tool, built for real enterprise environments. We are especially proud of the results we achieved together with our customers. Over the years, international organizations such as Danske Bank, Xcel Energy, SIS Datenverarbeitung, Liberty Line, Apogeo – Gruppo Zucchetti, SnelStart, Dietrich’s AG, National Systems Corporation, and many others have shared how VB Migration Partner enabled them to successfully tackle complex migration projects, reducing time, cost, and risk. Their testimonials represent the most meaningful recognition of the work our team has put in.

Their experiences are, for us, the most concrete validation there is: the one that comes from code running in production, in some cases for nearly two decades, without a single issue.
Technical support will continue to be provided through December 31, 2026, while the Knowledge Base will remain available online as a technical archive and reference point for all current customers — a true engineering memory of the VB6-to-.NET migration journey.
The future continues with Code Architects
VB Migration Partner is a product developed and distributed by Code Architects, a software house that has always been at the forefront of software modernization. The end of VB Migration Partner’s lifecycle does not mark the end of our experience in software modernization — it marks the natural evolution of a journey that continues.
Companies that today own applications built in Visual Basic 6 or on other legacy technologies can continue to rely on the expertise Code Architects has built over more than twenty years of activity.
Legacy software isn’t simply something to be replaced — it’s a system to be understood, decoded, and transformed. Code Architects’ work continues with the same commitment: today we support businesses with Application Renovation services, helping them redesign, modernize, and evolve their applications by adopting the latest software technologies, combining code analysis, re-engineering, and migration to cloud-native platforms — with the goal of preserving the logical and functional value of the past while bringing it forward into more modern architectures.
If your organization is evaluating the future of a VB6 application or a legacy system, we’d be glad to review your scenario together and identify the evolution path that best fits your needs.
